Inter-Library Loan

Libraries throughout New Jersey, the country, and even around the world participate in lending materials to patrons in other libraries.  This means that in Riverdale, if we don’t have what you want, we will look for it in other libraries in Morris County, then in Northern NJ, New Jersey and even beyond.

Open Borrowing

Open Borrowing is a program where libraries in Morris, Passaic, Bergen, Sussex, and parts of Warren and Somerset Counties agree to recognize cards from other systems for reciprocal borrowing in person.  Over 150 towns in the 6 county area participate.

Please be aware that if you borrow a book in another county you must return it to a participating library in that country.
