Mission:

The mission of the Riverdale Public Library is to provide educational, informational, recreational, and cultural materials and service to all residents of the Riverdale community.

Goals:

• Create and maintain a comprehensive collection of materials reflecting the needs and desires of the Riverdale community:

  • Circulating books, magazines, and tapes for adults and children

  • Reference materials

  • Access to the Internet and library databases for research and interest

• Nurture in children the desire to be lifelong users of the Library

• Offer enjoyable and informational programs and exhibits that attract diverse groups to the Library

• Provide a meeting place for residents and local businesses

• Provide equal access to information and services for all members of the community

• Provide access to technology for processing data and facilitating the learning experience

• Serve as a link to other libraries throughout the state.
