The following electronic databases are available to Riverdale Public Library patrons from your home PC.

Several of the following databases will ask you to enter your Patron ID before entering. When this happens, just enter the 13 digit bar code number on the back of your library card.

Encyclopedia Britannica  - Available in both a format for adults, and one for students (after clicking on Encyclopedia Britannica, click on Jump to Britannica Kids link in the top right corner). A wonderful information resource - check out the ready to cut and paste citations in either ALA or MLA format. Encyclopedia articles, pictures, timelines, biographies, and a world atlas are just some of the resources available here.

Databases Available from Home

The Riverdale Public Library also offers the following services:

Digital Suburban Trends - The Riverdale public Library, along with 10 other libraries in the area, funded a special project to digitize the Suburban Trends. Now you can go back over 45 years and search for articles! Available in the Library only.

Book Buggy - If you are a Riverdale resident unable to travel to the Library, you are eligible for our Book Buggy service. With our Book Buggy, a volunteer will deliver books, audio books, magazines, and movies right to your door! Give us a call and a librarian will help you select books or other items that match your interests. Deliveries and pick-ups are available once a week. All normal borrowing policies apply, though we will adjust our borrowing periods to adapt to your delivery schedule.
