| The major fundraising event of the year is the annual book sale, held in March at the Senior Community Center on 57 Loy Avenue in Riverdale. Every year the book sale has gotten bigger and bigger. Last year the Friends raised over $7,000! Mark your calendar for the Friends of the Riverdale Public Library Annual Book Sale. The 2012 sale is scheduled for Friday, March 23, 4 - 8 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, noon - 3 p.m. In addition, there is a small ongoing book sale with hardcover fiction on a cart near the library entrance. This is a great place to pick up stocking stuffers and beach reads. Additional ways to support the Library
