With your library card, you have free access from home to high quality reference database subscriptions paid for by the Riverdale Public Library, the MAIN consortium, the Highlands Regional Library Cooperative, or the new Jersey State Library. Most sites ask for your library card number. Use the barcode on the back of your card without spaces. What is a federated search? A federated search means you don't have to search each database individually. You can search them simultaneously. New Databases
Three major databases are included: Proquest Newstand, Gannett Newspapers, and the Historical New York Times (1851-2007). Proquest Newstand includes national and leading regional papers such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The Atlanta Journal- Constitution, Barron's, The Boston Globe, The Guardian, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post and major national newspapers. Gannett News includes local and regional newspapers like The Daily Record, Courier Post, Asbury Park Press, the Argus.
