Puppy Pals
Wed. June 12, July 10, & Aug. 14
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Kids entering grades K-5
Dogs certified by Creature Comfort Pet Therapy will be at the library to “listen” to children read. Bring your beginning reader, reluctant reader, or dog-lover for a session with a friendly listener.

Breakfast Book Club

Read our book of the month, The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden, with a parent and then join us for a potluck breakfast as we discuss the book and make a fun craft!  Free copies available at the Circulation Desk.

Can you sing a song?  Perform a dance?  Tell jokes?  Play an instrument?  Do a magic trick?  Perform a funny skit with your friends?  Come show off your sills at our end-of-summer talent show and enjoy games and a make-your-own sundae party!

 Unplug the Xbox, turn off the iPad, sign off the Internet, and enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned fun with Scrabble, Candy Land, Trouble, Monopoloy, and many more family-loved games!

 

Children's Summer Reading Program

  For kids entering grades K-5

Mon. June 24 to Fri. Aug. 9

This year's Summer Reading theme is Dig Into Reading!  Aim to read at least one book a week (or 100 pages of a big book) and enter it in your Reading Log.  Then come in each week to show how much you've read and spin the wheel for a fun prize!  You'll also get to take home a free picture or chapter book, plus a free coupon for ice cream at Applebee's!  You can join anytime, but the child who reads the most books by the end of the summer wins a goody bag full of prizes!  There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.  There will also be a raffle for a bag full of free books!  The raffle winner will be drawn at the Summer Reading Finale.  Register for the Summer Reading program in the library.

You can join anytime, but the family that reads the most books by the end of the summer wins a bag full of free books! The reading log also provides fun ideas for building literacy skills, and each week you and your child visit the library, your child can take home a free picture book! The program is open to residents of all towns. Register in the library.
