Types of Materials located in the Children's Room
The Children’s Room has several different sections which are labeled when you walk in:

New Book Section

Fiction - These are stories and novels for independent reading. We mark some books with special labels so they are easy to find.

Easy Readers – books for kids who are learning to read, usually 1st and 2nd grade

Picture Books
-
Non-Fiction – information on animals, countries, history, science, poetry, biography and more. Easy Reader books on a specific topic, for instance trucks, dinosaurs and construction equipment are mixed in.

Movies - We have both VHS and DVD's

Foreign Language - We have a small number of books in Spanish and French.

Parenting Collection - This section has many current books on raising children – everything from discipline to gifted children.
