Free WiFi and Computers at the Riverdale Public Library

Need access to the internet for
homework, research, or looking for a job?

Use one of our computers or bring
your laptop and access our free public WiFi.

Free public Wi‑Fi is available throughout the library at no cost. Patrons may connect with their own laptops, smartphones, or tablets to browse the web, check email, access online resources, stream media, or use educational and work-related services.

How to connect to Wi-Fi

  • Open your device’s Wi‑Fi settings and choose that network.

  • Select the network named "Library Wireless".

  • Accept the library’s terms of use on the welcome or login page, if prompted.

  • No password is required for general access.

Usage notes

  • The network is intended for lawful, appropriate use consistent with library policies; access may be filtered or limited for security and to ensure fair use.

  • Bandwidth can be shared by many users; large downloads or prolonged streaming may be slower during peak times.

  • Violation of our policy may result in a IP Ban or limited access to our computer systems.

Available devices at the library

  • Public computers: We offer desktop computers for searching the catalog, online research, printing, and other tasks. Computer sessions may be time‑limited during busy periods; ask staff about printing fees and how to save or email your work.

  • Tablets for children: Kid‑friendly tablets are available with age‑appropriate apps and content for learning and play. Staff can help children get started and explain use guidelines.

Need help? Staff at the circulation desk can assist with connecting to Wi‑Fi, using public computers, or finding children’s tablets. Call the library at 973‑835‑5044 for questions or visit during open hours.
